What will make a good building code consultant?

The following career path will answer this question:

1. Be a good designer, to fully understand what you do.

2. Be a good teacher, to be able to share what you know.

3. Be a good building official, to enforce the code properly

4. Be a good building code consultant, to help people in need with a passion.

This is my personnel experience. I believe I am a good building code consultant.
